Tutoring is nowhere as near as cut and dry as you may have expected. It is not just finding one person to teach you something. There is actually a whole lot more to it then you might have expected. If you want to get a better understanding of the service then I can help you. Let’s take a look at the different types of tutoring.

Private tutoring

One on one tutoring is the oldest form of tutoring out there and one of the most effective. This kind of tutoring involves a teacher taking the time to educate a student outside of the traditional class room environment. This is typically home based and can be expensive. There are all sorts of private tutors who cover everything from subject tutors to skills tutors.

In class tutoring

In class tutoring is getting more and more common at a lot of public schools. This is known as coach class because students are able to get some extra coaching from their teaching. This normally takes place either before or after school and is with a bunch of other students that are looking for some extra help too. Some schools make coach class mandatory for struggling students while allowing it to be optional for others.

Online tutoring

Tutoring software has made online tutoring a whole lot more available to lots of people because it is not expensive and is yet very effective. Lots of students are starting to turn to disks and other software for educational information. This trend will likely continue as computers become more a part of mainstream society. Parents are realizing exactly how effective software can be to help their children become better students in the classroom.

It is surprising how many different forms of tutoring exist for those that are interested in becoming better students in any grade level.
